About Us

Who We Are

Established in 1984, the New Scotland Soccer Club, Inc. gives children in the Town of New Scotland, Voorheesville, and surrounding areas, the opportunity to learn and have fun playing soccer. This club sponsors competitive, travel soccer teams U8 - U19, for both boys and girls.  The goal of the club is to:

  • Encourage players with a serious interest in soccer

  • Foster development of player skills and sportsmanship

  • Engage in competitive games in the Capital District Youth Soccer League (CDYSL).

The New Scotland Soccer Club, Inc. is governed by a Board of Directors and Officers.  Our volunteer coaches are licensed to work with youth soccer players.

What We Do

Our main focus is spring travel soccer (mid-March to June), but we also sponsor fall travel soccer, indoor winter training academies, and an evening summer soccer camp in Voorheesville.

Team Placement

Players register for teams, but the Club reserves the right to assign players to a team and adjust the composition of each team to match the level of anticipated league competition. Final team size and player assignment is subject to the approval of club officers and coaches. Players are required to register at their appropriate age level. Depending on the number of applicants, tryouts may be required before acceptance on a team. Make sure to register early for events and leagues!

How to Get Involved

This club is run by volunteers --from the Board of Directors to coaches-- and we are always looking for others to help. Contact a Club Officer, Coach, or Board of Director Member to get involved today!
